About IBUSZ

IBUSZ Utazási Irodák Idegenforgalmi és Kereskedelmi Kft. (or IBUSZ Utazási Irodák Kft) (IBUSZ Travel Agencies Tourism and Trading Company) was founded on 29 August 1902. The name of our company is an acronym made up of the first letters of the company’s initial scopes of activity: tourism (idegenforgalmi), procurement (beszerzési), travel (utazási) and transport (szállítási) company.

The company was floated onto the Budapest Stock Exchange on 21 June 1990 as the first company to do so in Hungary. Today, IBUSZ operates as a company group the activities of which focus on four areas.
